I was looking through a book at work today called Dressed to Impress 1840-1914 and you would not believe the picture I came across. It shows a young girl pictured from 1903 wearing a coat that is almost identical to Nellie's! It's even trimmed with ermine.
I added it to my album...it's number 22. Have a look and see what you all think. The hat she's wearing is amazing too.

I know, I just couldn't believe it when I saw the picture. It's a wonderful book and there are so many great pictures mostly around Samantha and Nellie's time.

Thanks all for your very kind compliments on my crocheted outfits. I really enjoyed making them. This year I would like to make a couple of outfits for Josefina. I have my mom's old Singer sewing machine so I'll give it a try.
I'm glad that you all liked the picture of Nellie's coat. The second I saw it in the book, I just knew you'd all enjoy seeing it too.
